How to Start Collecting Pokemon TCG in Thailand

Pokemon TCG has exploded in popularity in Thailand, and it's never been a better time to start. Whether you're drawn by nostalgia, the stunning artwork, the competitive game, or the investment potential, there's a place for every type of collector. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get started.

First, decide what draws you to Pokemon cards. Players focus on building competitive decks and attending tournaments. Collectors focus on completing sets, chasing rare cards, or building themed collections. Many people do both! Your path determines what products you should buy first. Players should start with a pre-built deck, while collectors should grab a booster box from a set they love.

Pokemon TCG releases new sets regularly. In 2026, the Mega Era sets (M1S, M1L, M2, M2A, M3, M4) introduce Mega Evolution mechanics. Each set has a unique theme and card pool. Japanese sets release first and are followed by English versions months later.
